From the field to training and drawing
I started in film as an electrician, then in live performance as a lighting technician, before specialising in rigging. My work as a rigging supervisor led me to load calculation, then to technical drawing for events. Today I no longer work in the field. I train, draw and support technical teams for clean plans, a clear working method and calculations you can show to an engineering office.
Vectorworks Spotlight and Production Assist can feel daunting at first. If I managed, these tools are open to everyone. Approving a suspension remains the job of engineers and inspection bodies, and I say so in every course. But between understanding nothing and delegating everything, there is a huge space, and that is the one I open up.
As one of the Production Assist representatives in France, Switzerland and Belgium, I am in direct contact with the DeerSoft team. My trainees' feedback goes straight back to them.
I am also a member of the SkeneX Collective, a collective of trainers.
